Whew!

Well, I've made some headway in the craft pit - my friend/downline Kelley came over on Friday afternoon (with her kids, too, so they could keep my munchkins occupied!). And then came back that night and helped until about midnight. I am so blessed by the friends I have! Anyway, my room still isn't empty but it's looking much better. Here's a peek at the guest room, You can't see the HUGE pile on the other side of the bed, though. We'll probably be picking up the cabinets tomorrow night, and I must admit that I'm getting excited. The biggest issue will be forcing myself to keep only what actually fits... It's been sort of fun to go through all this stuff, though, and unearth some neglected treasures. It was really hard to keep plugging away and not just drop everything and stamp :)

And lastly, I've been tagged again! Wanda tagged me for 7 random facts (and I vaguely recall someone else tagging me within the last month or so, but I never did it...) So anyway, here goes:

  1. I don't really have a favorite color, but purple is about as close as it gets. When I was in 7th grade, my absolute favorite outfit was a purple hat, purple sweater, black pants, and purple suede flats. (Yeah, I was stylin'!!)
  2. I dislike the color orange, but like peach and coral.
  3. In addition to my stamp obsession, I adore music. Much of my high school earnings went toward purchasing CDs.
  4. I lived in the same house until I left for college. And my parents are still there.
  5. We had a pretty big garden growing up, and helping care for it was one of our chores.
  6. When my hubby and I bought this house, there was a small garden plot. We ripped it out and planted grass seed a few weeks later.
  7. I do like having flowers around - they've got to be perennials, though.

It seems that virtually every blog I've read lately has had this same list, so I'm not going to tag anyone else. But feel free to play along if you'd like!

A RAK and another tag...

So lucky me got another fun surprise in the mailbox yesterday! Denise sent me this great card - love the colors and the velvet ribbon (I really do need to get some of those darling little safety pins). She also included some stamped Bella images. Man, for not owning any of the stamps, I now have quite a collection ;) Thanks so much, Denise!

And speaking of Bellas, I sharpened a few of my Prismacolor pencils and came up with an image that I actually like, so now I just need to find a home for the little lady on some cardstock. Maybe I'll even manage it by the end of the week!

And lastly, I've been tagged by Wanda and am now supposed to share 7 weird things about myself, then tag seven others. Only seven things?!? Hmmmm...
  1. I am a complete klutz, and have managed to hurt myself in some rather comical ways. I am now very wary of sheetrock, as it has left me "damaged" twice. Never take your eyes off of the seemingly innocent white stuff resting against a wall. And don't get me started on coconuts!
  2. I hate Doritos and cheese popcorn, but like Cheetos.
  3. My first "real" job was as a waitress in high school. My first day, I went over to help clean up a glass of water that a nicely dressed older woman had spilled. In the process, I managed to knock over her husband's glass, sending the ice water directly into his lap. Thankfully they were very good sports about the whole thing, but I was absolutely mortified and seriously considered quitting.
  4. I was born and raised in Montana but have never been skiing.
  5. My first college major was mechanical engineering. Whatever was I thinking?!?!?
  6. I did not date until I was in college, and I had only one other boyfriend before my hubby.
  7. I'm only 5'4" but wear size 11 shoes. I would also like to add that 99% of cute shoes are only available through size 10. It stinks (oh, and that would refer to my feet, too!)

And now for the fun part of making others squirm! I think I'm going to tag some bloggers that I love checking out for "fresh" inspiration. Great techniques, and a style markedly different from my own, so it stretches me. (And I may not have left comments on all of them, so this could be a surprise for a few!)
