Dad Birthday

I'm a lousy daughter. My dad's birthday was yesterday - and it was a milestone one at that. Where's his card? Well, laying right here on the computer desk. Yep, I'm pretty good at cranking cards out but actually writing in them, addressing them, and turning them over to the P.O. is another matter. This past year I've been particularly bad - but I just know I'll be much better in '08!

Anyway, on to the card itself... I used some scraps that were in my "too nice to toss" stash. (And I feel compelled to add that the bottom panel isn't nearly as pink as it appears in the photo.) The little copper charm on the ric rac says "wish." The numbers were stamped with a Making Memories foam set using white acrylic paint (blended with a bit of reinker).

Here's wishing you a wonderful birthday, Dad. The wishes may not be timely, but are truly heartfelt...

I love the card and I feel your pain. We both need secretaries and nannies and chauffers and.... so that we could get the cards made AND mailed.

LOL!!! I finished a card to a nephew of mine just before I read this post ... it will be the first card to this family with 9 children that I mail out on time ... I hope!!! I often finish the card on time, but then I have to re-find the address, and then I actually have to address the envelope, and then get it to the box. Whew, what a challenge, lol!

I think just about every card I send out takes days after creating to actually get mailed...
