More Fun with Twinkling H2Os

I was going a bit crazy yesterday afternoon, so decided to take a breather and play. The latest issue of the Technique Junkies newsletter (link on the sidebar) had the "Cling & Scrunch" technique. There were several suggested variations, but I decided to use it with my twinks. I've had them for about two years now, and I think I've used them more in the past six weeks or so than in all the previous months combined - it's kind of fun rediscovering what's in my stash!

So anyway, I started with plain old white cardstock, then misted it with water. I used my aquapainter to apply various colors of the TH2Os, layering them up and really saturating the paper. I then covered that with some crinkly plastic wrap and set the pieces aside to dry (that's the hardest part!).

I did one piece with really vibrant red and orange tones, then used Penny Black images. I love how it turned out, although it's definitely a departure from my usual.

I did the other one with greens and purples, and finished it out with the SU Stipple Hydrangea. I layered it with a piece embossed with the CB Script folder (swiped with ink to make it more noticeable).
I wish you could see just how lovely these are in person - I am including one detail shot of the hydrangea card just so you can get just a hint of the shimmer!

OK, that is gorgeous and I'm going to have to try it...but you know it's going to kill me to have to let it dry all the way...I am so impatient with that...!

Absolutely gorgeous, Trish! I absolutely LOVE it!!! I wouldn't have thought that pink would work with the reds, but it does! Wow, I'll have to try this!
